Young Children

Young children thrive with face-to-face interaction and hands-on experiences.
As pediatrician and researcher Dr. Dimitri Christakis says, littles need “laps, not apps.”
If using a screen:
• Choose a slow-moving, age-appropriate show.
• Minimize access to interactive (touch) screens.
• Make screen time predictable, but avoid making it a daily routine.
At this stage keep screen time at a minimum and focus on modeling healthy tech habits as a parent.
